The Quadra-Fire designed the MT Vernon pellet stove to utilize alternative energy sources for heat generation. The stove produces heat by burning traditional wood pellets in addition to biofuels like sunflower seeds and shelled corn. The Quadra-Fire MT Vernon pellet stove weighs 429 lbs. and measures approximately 32 inches in height, 28 inches in width and 29 inches in depth. The glass viewing window located on the front of the stove measures 21 inches long and 14 inches wide.

Performance

Quadra-Fire's MT Vernon pellet stove generates between 14,620 and 52,460 British Thermal Units, or BTUs, each hour you operate it by burning between 1.7 and 6.1 lbs. of fuel. The pellet stove has the capability to heat between 1,775 and 3,089 square feet, depending on which region of the U.S. you live in. The MT Vernon contains a fuel hopper that stores up to 81 lbs. of biofuel. The pellet stove operates at 81 to 84 percent efficiency.

Features

A wall thermostat works in conjunction with the MT Vernon pellet stove to automatically control the amount of heat radiated based on the fuel source used. The MT Vernon pellet stove thermostat control panel automatically ignites fuel and controls the auto-clean cycle. The control panel also lets you know when the stove runs low on pellet fuel.

Pricing/Accessories

The Quadra-Fire MT Vernon pellet stove costs $4,000, at the time of publication. Optional accessories for the pellet stove include a ceramic log set, fire screen, bracketed warming shelves, power cord and an outside air conversion kit.
